Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to The Catbears, an initiative by Maayan Malka (hereinafter "we", "us", or "The Catbears"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your access and use of our website and mobile apps (iOS and Android), downloadable social stories and other printable resources, the Catbears Show, online SEL games, guided SEL activities, arts-and-crafts activity guides and video tutorials, and related services (collectively the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who We Are

The Catbears is a private business founded by Maayan Malka, offering creative, emotional-learning tools for children and the adults who care for and work with them: parents, educators, therapists, and other professionals. Our email contact is: hi@catbears.com.

3. Use of the Services

The Services are provided for personal, non-commercial, educational or family use only.

When children use the Services, adult supervision (by a parent, guardian, teacher or responsible adult) is required.

You agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or exploit any part of the Services (digital or printed) except as expressly allowed by these Terms.

You will not use the Services for any unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate purpose.

4. Supervised Use

The Services are designed for supervised family or classroom use. When a child is using the Services, an adult (parent, guardian, teacher or facilitator) is responsible for monitoring and guiding their use.

No account registration is currently required to use the Services.

5. Safety of Crafts & Educational Use

The Catbears provides guidance for hands-on activities: instructions, video tutorials, and printable pages. We do not sell or supply any physical materials. Any supplies used in an activity (such as paper, cardboard, scissors, or glue) are everyday items you provide yourself, at home or in the classroom.

When children take part in an activity, you (the adult supervisor) are responsible for ensuring it is done safely. Everyday craft supplies such as scissors and glue should be used under adult supervision and in line with recommended age guidelines and safety practices.

We do not take responsibility for physical injuries, accidents, or misuse of any materials you use while following our activities. Our content is educational and creative in nature; please inspect your own tools and supplies before use.

6. Use of Interactive Products and Digital Services

Catbears Show: The Catbears Show is a viewing experience of narrated social-emotional stories. It is designed for supervised use by children together with an adult.

Online SEL Games: Our browser-based games (such as Left Out and What Am I Feeling) are designed for supervised use and play directly in the browser.

SEL Activities: Activities are designed for use with an adult guide (parent, teacher, or facilitator). They are educational support tools and are not a substitute for professional psychological or therapeutic care.

Social Stories and Resources: Downloadable PDFs and other resources are for personal or classroom use only. They may not be redistributed commercially.

All interactive products are educational support tools. We do not accept liability for consequences arising from use in lieu of professional help.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and your browser's local storage for basic functional purposes only, to remember preferences such as your chosen language, to keep track of your progress in activities, and to avoid showing you the same prompts twice. We may also collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to understand how the site is used and improve it; this does not identify you personally.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we never sell your data. Our hosting provider may collect standard web server logs (such as IP address and device type) as part of normal network operation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, illustrations, designs, printed materials, digital tools, apps, software and services associated with The Catbears are our (or our licensors') property.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal/educational use only. You do not acquire any ownership rights.

You may print or download materials only for personal or classroom use, not for resale or commercial redistribution.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We make no guarantee that the materials or digital services will meet your requirements or be error-free.

In no event shall The Catbears, Maayan Malka or their affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update or revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use after changes implies you accept the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.
